I had no idea this blog was still accessible till . . . now.
Ten years after the publication of the fourth "Old Man" story, "Each in His Prison, Thinking of the Key" (Asimov's Science Fiction, April/May 2014), the final Old Man story is now available in the 2024 May-June Asimov's. It serves not only as a culmination of the series but also as a way to pull together all of the previous tales, something imagined way back in 2010.
